It is quicker than driving, and you can skip the hassle of traffic, parking, etc. Best of all, the foot ferry is less than a ten-minute walk from Comfort Inn on the Bay. Less than a 10-minute walk from Comfort Inn on the Bay, guests will find the scenic Port Orchard Waterfront Park. A fun playground area is sure to entertain the younger crowd, while beach access, occasional live music, a picnic gazebo, and amazing sunsets make this a popular spot with locals and visitors alike. Take the Bay Street Pedestrian Pathway to easily reach this charming locale, and don’t miss the Port Orchard Farmers Market held adjacent to the park every Saturday from mid-April to mid-October!

Downtown Port Orchard

Our quaint and walkable downtown offers dining, entertainment, shopping, and more! The downtown area can be easily reached from Comfort Inn on the Bay, with Bay Street being the main thoroughfare through downtown. Explore shops like Josephine’s Mercantile and Jak Aktion Comics and games, spend time at the Veterans Living History Museum, and enjoy tasty food and freshly brewed beer at Peninsula BevCo. Wander just a block off of Bay St. over to the Sidney Art Gallery and Museum, where you can support local artists and learn about the history of the area.

A visit to Seattle would make a great day trip from our Port Orchard hotel, and guests have several options for transportation to this iconic city. There are multiple ferry options, including the foot ferry located just moments from our front door, or you can choose a slightly longer, more scenic route if you prefer to drive to The Emerald City. Activities abound in Seattle, and a visit to the Space Needle, wanding Pike Place Market, or exploring the Chihuly Garden and Glass museum would all be great additions to your agenda!
